PSP® Requirements and Eligibility

The Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation is the certification for those whose primary responsibility is to conduct threat surveys, design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures and people, or install, operate and maintain those systems.

Applicants who wish to take the PSP examination must satisfy certain security and/or educational requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in the physical security field

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

PSP Virtual Study Group

Take part in a flexible, yet structured study—over six weeks, the program is offered on a suggested schedule and pace, but study when it’s convenient for you.
