His foray into the security industry was in 2007 in Camden, New Jersey where he worked as a security guard for L-3 Communications. His career progressed in 2009 when he became Deputy FSO & Physical Security Manager for a small Department of Defense Contract organization.

In 2011, Troy moved to Los Angeles where he pursued other passions outside the industry. In 2013, he re-ignited his security career by joining Securitas as a Scheduler in San Francisco and worked his way up to Branch Manager in 2014. He joined the Oracle account in 2016 as Regional Account Manager, eventually becoming National Account Manager, where he had oversight of all contract security operations in North America.

Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Police Administration, and Criminal Research and Intelligence Analysis from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Additionally, Troy is certified as a Personal Protection Specialist from the Executive Protection Institute in Winchester, VA.  Troy hails from a small New Jersey town just outside Philadelphia and currently lives in San Francisco.  He enjoys sports, outdoors, hiking, movies, and creative writing.

Eric Aiello

Eric started his career in the United States Military, specifically in the Seabees. During his 4 years in the military, he did two tours in Afghanistan as the Lead Gunner for a Convoy Security Team. After the military, Eric knew he wanted to do something in security and was lucky enough to meet a prior Marine Recon who became his mentor and help him transition into civilian life.

Eric got a job working for his Mentor at Securitas Security Services as a scheduler. While working this job, he was hungry to advance himself and learn more in the private sector. He got a PT job on weekends as a Private Investigator with Veracity Research Group. In this role, Eric was doing interviews and surveillance on large workers comp. cases. After a few years of moving up in Securitas, he got the itch to go back overseas. The opportunity happened through a job offer from Internews Network to be their Country Security and Risk Manager in the war-torn country of South Sudan.

After returning from South Sudan, Eric went back to corporate security and worked as a contractor for Apple Security. He worked his way up to a Project Security Manager and got the opportunity to work at Facebook and manage their contract security as an Operations Manager. After some time there, Eric accepted an internal position at PG&E as a Regional Physical Security Specialist, managing the physical security and risk management of all PG&E buildings and sites in Contra Costa and Alameda County.

Caleb Gilbert

Mr. Gilbert has been working in the security industry since 1998 and has been a lifelong connoisseur of executive protection. His education started at ESI in 2002 and since then, his ongoing academic development included over 200, security-specific courses, NREMT, his Undergraduate Certificate in Homeland Security, Undergraduate Degree in Security Management (Southwestern College), Graduate Certificate in International Security (Stanford University) and is currently working on his thesis for the Master’s in Global Security Studies program at Johns Hopkins University.

Caleb has managed (or worked) protective operations in 33 countries and over 250 (CONUS) cities and is currently the Sr. Manager, Global Protective Services for PayPal Inc. Over the course of his career, Caleb has managed and developed executive protection, residential protection, covert protection and surveillance detection teams for ultra-high net worth, corporate and celebrity principals. Mr. Gilbert has developed and continues to systematically improve and instruct, Covert Protection (CovPro), low-profile-high-efficiency protection tactics, techniques and procedures that are currently deployed on protection details worldwide.

Sebastian

Sebastian Prooth is a Security Account Manager from San Jose, California. He specializes in client retention, account recovery and career development for contract security services.

Sebastian became interested in Security in 2014 after working with the internal investigations department at FedEx. It wasn’t long before he was recruited into an operations management position at a Silicon Valley-based security company. Managing over seven thousand weekly hours, it was there that he started to hone his skills as a Security Manager. In order to gain a better perspective of the industry, he engaged in additional work in armed security and freelance Executive Protection.

In 2017, Sebastian expanded his skill-set by attending Trojan Securities International and achieving a Personal Security Detail (PSD) certification in Executive Protection. While attending Trojan Sebastian became NRA Certified with multiple weapons systems.  It was during this time he was also working as a Site Lead for the The Santee Projects in East Side San Jose. In a few short months, he transformed the attitude towards security from hate to appreciation. In Early 2018 Sebastian returned to account management working at Allied Universal. He was assigned a critical account. It was quickly regenerated and passed onto a newly minted Account Manager. In early 2019 Sebastian was tapped to rescue another declining account. He is currently serving in that role.

Sebastian achieved the Associate Protection Professional (APP) qualification from ASIS in 2019 and was asked to serve as Job Placement Chairmen 2019-2020 for the ASIS San Francisco Chapter.

He continues to further his education, personal development, and professional training.
